TENNIS ESPORTS
Tennis is the 4th most popular participation sport in the UK, with around 5 million players. Home to the arguably the most prestigious tournament in the world, Wimbledon, Brits love their tennis. But whilst it might be the quintessential summer sport… it’s not quite so enticing for the other 11 or so months of the year! That’s where virtual tennis comes into its own… offering the fun, competitive challenge and some exercise, within the dry confines of an exhibition booth, internal event or conference side room (strawberries and cream optional).
We’re delighted to have partnered with Tennis Esports, ‘the world’s largest tennis club’ with over half a million players, that offers incredibly realistic physics and a range of gameplay options, to suit a variety of events. Choose from playing in pairs or a succession of solo challengers, on a choice of surfaces, or in fun arcade-style games!
Players swing special racquets, in a tennis-themed environment, including a 2.5m square backdrop and host(s) in tennis uniforms. Spectators are able to follow every shot via our large screen TV!
“Tennis Esports is delighted to be partnering with Unreal Events to support their new VR tennis experiences at events across the UK and beyond. We’re excited to see the world’s largest tennis club reaching new audiences; bringing the exercise, competition and fun that the sport offers, to a wide range of corporate and private event settings.”

For comfort and safety, for VR tennis we recommend a minimum of 3m x 3m of floorspace. 3m high ceilings are also recommended. For more than one headset being used concurrently, we’ll of course need more a bit more space, depending on the game / format.
Otherwise, VR works best in a well lit room, avoiding bright direct sunlight if possible, and not too warm.
-
Absolutely! Our standard backdrop is 2.4m x 2.4m and can be customised to any design you wish - just supply us with a high resolution, square image, and we’ll do the rest! We charge £200+VAT for printing, and the banner (fits frame with top and bottom pole) is yours to keep after the event.
We can also offer custom branded floor mats, stretch tablecloths and polo shirts for our hosts to wear - enquire for pricing.
For VT Tennis, if you’re looking for real wow factor, and have a healthy budget, we can even offer in-game custom branding!

We have a range of gameplay formats to suit a variety of audiences. For busy events, we suggest one of the arcade formats, taking around 3 minutes per player. Need to entertain more than 20 people an hour? Just add a second or third setup, and double or triple the throughput to 40-60 per hour.
-
Are you in mainland Britain? If so, yes! We’ve covered many events, from the depths of Scotland to the Kent coast, and are happy to travel to wherever your event is located. In Ireland, mainland Europe or further afield? Please enquire, and if we can make it work, we’d love to see your part of the world.
-
Historically, this was common. However, in addition to technological advancements (i.e. lower latency). we’ve taken several steps to minimise if not irradicate the risk of this occurring. These include providing a tactile floor surface, specifying games with teleport and ‘snap turn’ options, and running short game formats. Please contact us to discuss any remaining concerns. We’ve yet to have a single complaint of motion sickness at any events.
-
Yes absolutely. Unreal Events provides a widescreen TV for each headset in use, so that spectators are engaged in the experience. We can also often utilise screens that are in-situ, in addition or instead of our TVs. The process of sharing the VR images in near real-time can be complex. We have six methods to do so, including carrying a mobile router as contingency for Wi-Fi issues.
